Lexy Determan (Terril, Iowa) earned both GPAC and Region III Pitcher-of-the-Week honors for her play last week. The freshman went 3-1 with a 0.99 ERA in five appearances, four starts. In 28 1/3 innings pitched, Determan scattered 17 hits, four earned runs and struck out 51 batters while walking eight. She also recorded three shutouts last week, including back-to-back shutouts in a pair of 2-0 wins against Nebraska Wesleyan. On the season, Determan is 14-7 with a 1.73 ERA and leads the GPAC with 181 strikeouts, just seven shy of breaking the Northwestern College single season record set last year by Megan McHugh.
Northwestern has won four straight games to improve to 20-14 overall and stand in fifth place in the GPAC with a 10-6 record.
