<description><![CDATA[Northwestern looks to rebound after three consecutive losses as Midland Lutheran comes to Korver Field for today’s soccer doubleheader.  Midland has been one of the GPAC’s top teams so far this season going 3-1 in league play and 5-3-1 overall.  Northwestern is 3-6-1 overall and has a 1-3-1 GPAC record.  The Raiders trail in the all-time series 3-5-1 with the last meeting ending in a 1-1 tie.]]></description>

Van Roekel was a member of the Northwestern soccer teams from 2001-2005 and was a four year starter at the midfield position.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[T.J. Buchholz, the director of soccer at Northwestern, has resigned and taken the same position at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Last season, the men's team qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history, finished with a 12-8-1 record, and won the NAIA Region III Championship.  The women's team finished 7-10-1 and was 7-4-1 in the conference.]]></description>
