On The Mound


Raphael DeHoyos started game one of the double header Friday.  DeHoyos got in trouble early giving up three runs in the first inning, but settled into the game and turned in his best outing of the year so far.  DeHoyos went six innings, scattering six hits, striking out three, and allowing five runs.  Josh Lucken came in relief recorded two outs in the 7th inning before turning the ball over to Zac Bridger who struck out the final batter of the game to record his first career save. DeHoyos moves to 1-2 on the season on the mound.

At The Plate

Michael Callahan got the Raider offense going with a monster three run homerun, to answer the three runs Presentation put up in the top of the first inning. Dustin Gaither added his first homerun of the season with a three run blast.  Gaither had four RBI's in the contest. Christian Stekl and Zach Rosson also chipped in two hits each in the winning effort.

On The Mound


Freshman Preslee Moy made his first career start. Moy worked in and out of trouble going two innings allowing three runs, walking five, and striking out two. Moy induced one of the three inning ending double plays which got him out of the 2nd inning. Nick Stimson came in relief for Moy in the third inning with runners at first and third.  After a walk, Stimson picked up a strikeout looking and the second inning ending double play for the Raiders.  Mason O'Donnell entered in the 4th inning with two outs and left another runner stranded at 3rd base striking out the only batter he faced that inning.  O'Donnell then threw a scoreless 5th inning, picking up two more strikeouts. Zac Bridger pitched a clean 6th inning with one strikeout. Closer Tanner Ortlund came in and after giving up a lead off single, got a strikeout, and then ended the game with another double play.  Stimson picks up the win, he is now 1-0.  Ortlund picks up his 2nd save on the season. As a team Raiders recorded nine strikeouts, while only allowing six hits, and three earned runs.

At The Plate


Dustin Gaither won the day with one single, one double, and driving in five of the seven runs. Raiders also got three hits from Matt Martin and Colton Harold. Reed Smith supplied some power with one double and a triple. Raiders offense pounded out 14 hits, three walks, two hit by pitches, and seven runs scored.
