The Northwestern men's soccer team travels to Sioux City to take in Morningside College in the first GPAC contest for each school. Northwestern enters with a 2-3 record while Morningside comes in with a 1-3 record.  Game time is set for 7:30 pm and will follow the women's match.

Morningside won their last match, with Jamestown, to improve to 1-3 on the season.  They have been led this season by Chase Maier, Ty Thackston, Ricky Azpeitia, and Hogan Cemper.  Maier has scored two goals and assisted on one goal, Thackston has scored two goals, and Azpeitia and Cemper have each scored one goal but assisted on three scores.  In goal, the Mustangs feature two keepers; Matt Mayfield and Dan Whithorn.  Mayfield has allowed six goals and made 18 saves while Whithorn has allowed five goals and made ten saves.

Northwestern is coming off of a hard fought loss versus Upper Iowa University.  Northwestern fell 1-0 in their last match before the GPAC season.  The Red Raiders have been led this season by Tommy Tucker, Jordan Born, and Aron Pall.  Tucker has scored three times and assisted on three goals.  Born has found the net once but assisted on two goals, while Pall has scored twice off the bench.  Sophomores Jeff Lanser and Ben Schneider have both split time in goal with Schneider making three starts and Lanser two.  Schneider has made 14 saves and allowed three goals while Lanser has made 11 saves and allowed two goals.

Northwestern will have their first home match on Saturday on Korver Field following the women's match.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
