Nov 17 Northwestern Men's Soccer Adds Lincoln Prep
The son of Greg and June, Biggs is a 5’8” forward/midfielder who plays for Lincoln East High School. He scored three goals for 9-5 East during his junior season.  Biggs has earned two letters thus far and will likely earn three letters for East.


Nov 13 Northwestern Falls to Hastings, 3-1.
Northwestern dropped the GPAC Semi-final match to Hastings, 3-1, on Wednesday night ending the Red Raiders season at 9-9-2.


Nov 11 GPAC Men's Soccer Semifinal Match vs Hastings Postponed
The GPAC men’s soccer semifinal match between Northwestern and Hastings scheduled for tonight at Hastings, Neb. has been postponed to tomorrow night (Wednesday, Nov. 12) at 7:00 pm.


Nov 6 Raiders Face Doane in GPAC Tournament
Northwestern (8-8-2, 6-4-2) and the Doane Tigers (10-8, 7-5) will face off for the second time in six days, this time as Northwestern travels to Crete, Nebr. in the opening round of the GPAC Tournament.  Northwestern defeated Doane 2-0 on Nov. 1st and is the five seed in the tournament while Doane is the four seed.


Nov 6 Tyler Sytsma Named First Team All-GPAC Defender
Tyler Sytsma was named to the All-GPAC First Team today. Aaron O'Brien, Mike Cookson, and Ben Schneider were all named to the All-GPAC Second Team.


Nov 3 Raiders Win Final Home Regular Season Match, 2-0
Northwestern scored two goals between the 30th and 40th minute and played tight defense, en route to earning their sixth GPAC victory, 2-0 over Doane.  The Raiders and the Tigers each had 13 shots, five of Northwestern's shots were on goal to three from Doane.


Oct 31 Northwestern to Honor Seniors in Final Home Match
Northwestern (7-8-2, 5-4-2) plays its final home match of the regular season and will be honoring the seniors tonight.  The Red Raiders will be taking on the Doane Tigers (10-7, 7-4) in a matchup of two likely GPAC tournament qualifying teams.


Oct 29 Raiders Dominate But Tie Sioux Falls
Northwestern controlled much of the play on Tuesday afternoon versus Sioux Falls but both teams scored twice and the match ended in a 2-2 tie after two overtimes.  Northwestern saw its record move to 7-8-2 and their GPAC record move to 5-4-2.  Sioux Falls is now 9-4-3 and 7-1-2 in the GPAC.


Oct 28 Red Raiders and Cougars to Battle in Men's Soccer
Northwestern travels to Sioux Falls to take on the Cougars at the Sanford Health Complex in men's soccer today.  Northwestern is currently 7-8-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the GPAC while Sioux Falls is 9-4-2 overall and 7-1-1 in the GPAC.  This is the final regular season road match for the Red Raiders.


Oct 23 Northwestern Falls in Overtime to Dakota Wesleyan
Northwestern lost their fourth GPAC match on a rainy Wednesday evening 2-1 in overtime to Dakota Wesleyan. The Red Raiders dominated the match, out-shooting DWU 25-14 and earning twice as many corner kicks, 6-3. Dakota Wesleyan moved to 3-11-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the GPAC while Northwestern fell to 7-8-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the GPAC.


Oct 22 Northwestern and Dakota Wesleyan Soccer Moved to Korver Field
The Northwestern and Dakota Wesleyan women's/men's soccer doubleheader has been moved to Korver Field due to wet conditions at the soccer complex in Orange City. Game times will remain the same; 2:00 pm for the women and 4:00 for the men.


Oct 22 Tyler Sytsma Named GPAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Northwestern defender Tyler Sytsma is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week.  Sytsma, a junior from Littleton, Colorado, helped the Red Raider defense post two shutouts on the week with wins over Mount Marty and Concordia.


Oct 20 Northwestern Earns Second Consecutive Shut-Out, Defeats Concordia 1-0.
Northwestern scored a goal in the 35th minute and held Concordia scoreless, and in doing so, moved to .500 for the first time since early October.  Steven Grand scored the only goal of the contest, coming in off the bench, and netting his only shot. Northwestern is now 5-3-1 in the GPAC and is 7-7-1 overall.  


Oct 16 Raiders Defeat Mt. Marty, 2-0.
Northwestern scored two second half goals en route to improving their overall record to 6-7-1 and moving to 4-3-1 in the GPAC.  Mount Marty was shut-out as they fell to 4-7-2 and 1-5-2 in the GPAC.


Oct 15 Mount Marty and Northwestern Battle in GPAC Soccer
Northwestern hits the turf tonight as they try to right the ship after being shut-out in four of the last five matches.  Northwestern welcomes Mount Marty to Orange City in what looks like a season defining match for both teams.  Northwestern currently sits in sixth in the GPAC with a 3-3-1 record and is 5-7-1 overall.  Mount Marty is currently in 10th place with a 1-4-2 GPAC record and is 4-6-2 overall.


Oct 13 Northwestern loses to Dana 3-0
Northwestern was shut-out for the third straight game, losing to GPAC title contender, Dana College, 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.  The Raiders were out-shot 10-3 and gave up five corner kicks en route to falling to 5-7-1 overall and 3-3-1 in conference play.


Oct 6 Northwestern and Wartburg Play in Non-Conference Action
Northwestern welcomes former soccer coach TJ Buchholz and the Wartburg Knights to Orange City today in a 4:00 pm men's soccer match.  Northwestern enters the contest with a 5-5-1 record while Wartburg enters with a 7-3 record.  Northwestern is coming off of a tie versus Midland Lutheran on Saturday while Wartburg is playing for the first time since a 10-1 pounding of Cornell College.  


Oct 4 Raiders Take on Midland in Men's Soccer
Northwestern and Midland square off tonight in men’s soccer for their first meeting of the 2008 season.  Last season, Midland defeated Northwestern in Fremont, 4-3; Northwestern, however, holds the series lead at 4-3. 


Oct 1 Northwestern to Host Dordt in GPAC Men's Soccer
A rivalry is renewed this evening as Dordt College comes to Korver Field to take on Northwestern for a women’s/men’s GPAC soccer doubleheader. 


Sep 29 Northwestern Falls to NWU, 0-3.
Northwestern dropped its second GPAC contest of the year, 0-3 to Nebraska Wesleyan, falling to 2-2 in GPAC play and 4-5 overall.  For the game, Northwestern gave up three second half goals, one on a free kick, despite having more shots on goal in the second half.
