Hellinga to Play Soccer at Northwestern College

James Hellinga (Orange City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern College next fall.

Hellinga is a 5’11” sweeper who has played two seasons so far for Unity Christian High School. A two-year starter, Hellinga earned all-conference honors last season as a junior. An outstanding student who is a member of the honor roll at Unity, Hellinga plans to major in business at Northwestern. He is the son of Gerry and Deb Bomgaars.

“James brings great athleticism to our team,” commented head coach Dan Swier. “His competitive nature will make us a better team in both practice and games. James is a bright young man and will find success in athletics and academics during his time at Northwestern College.”
