Northwestern Defeats Hastings 1-0, First Time in School History

Northwestern earns their first victory over Hastings College in men's soccer, 1-0, on a Brad White goal early in the second half.  Ben Schneider collects his fifth GPAC shut-out in the win.  The Red Raiders move to 10-5-1 overall and 7-2-1 in the GPAC.

Hastings out-shot Northwestern 24-3 but they were only able to get five shots on goal compared to Northwestern's two.  Ben Karnish, Andy Janssen, and White all had shots for Northwestern.  Goalkeeper Ben Schneider made five saves and did not allow a goal.  Hastings had seven corner kicks and Northwestern had zero.

Hastings is leading the conference with a 8-2 GPAC record followed by Nebraska Wesleyan and Northwestern at 7-2-1.  Sioux Falls is close behind at 7-3.  Northwestern takes on Dordt in Sioux Center on the 24th and Midland Lutheran in Fremont, Nebr. on the 27th.
