The Red Raider men's soccer team, which reached the regional tournament, for the third time in four years, was picked to finish second in the 2007 GPAC pre-season poll. NWC finished with 116 points behind only Hastings(142). Hastings landed 11 of the 13 first place votes with Northwestern grabbing 1 and Nebraska Wesleyan, who was picked fifth, getting the last.
Coach Buchholz's squad returns seven starters and 18 letterwinners from last year's 10-9-1 team, they went 7-5 in the GPAC. The Red Raiders reached the Region III Championship tying Hastings 1-1, but ultimately losing in a shoot out (3-0).
