Northwestern College Names Dan Swier as Men's Soccer Coach NorthwesternCollegeis pleased to announce that Dan Swier has been hired as the new Head Men’s Soccer Coach. He will be replacing T.J. Buchholz who resigned earlier this spring to take over both the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Wartburg College (Iowa). Swier is a 2006 graduate of Northwestern and has spent the last two years in Arlington, Texas, earning his master’s degree in exercise physiology at the University of Texas at Arlington. He and his wife Morgan (Walker-’06) are both former letter-winners in soccer at Northwestern. Posted: 5/9/08

Soccer Coach Buchholz Resigns T.J. Buchholz, the director of soccer at Northwestern, has resigned and taken the same position at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Last season, the men's team qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history, finished with a 12-8-1 record, and won the NAIA Region III Championship. The women's team finished 7-10-1 and was 7-4-1 in the conference. Posted: 4/21/08

Men's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule Coach Buchholz has announced the Red Raider Men’s games for this spring. The Red Raiders are coming off an outstanding fall season that saw the team win the Regional 3 Tournament and make it’s first ever appearance at the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City.
