The Northwestern College men's golf team placed seventh out of 11 teams at the Midland Lutheran Men's Invitational played yesterday at the Fremont Golf Club. The Red Raiders shot 326, just 15 shots in back of first place Hastings College with a 311. Dordt (317), Wayne State (319), Briar Cliff (321), Dakota Wesleyan (321) and Midland Lutheran (323) also finished in front of NWC.

Individually, Luke Vermeer led the way as he tied for seventh place with a 76. He has finished in the top 10 in all of his meets this year. Justin Pannkuk tied for 10th place with four other golfers as he shot a 78. Nate Summers (84) finished tied for 35th overall.

Northwestern will next compete at the Buena Vista Spring Invite this Friday and Saturday in Storm Lake.
