Game Time... The 2007 Red Raider golf team will make  their season debut this afternoon at the Buena Vista Invitational. The meet will take place at the Lake Creek Country Club in Storm Lake, Iowa, with a 1:00 pm start.

Scouting Report... Head Coach Mark Bloemendaal's squad returns three of their top six golfers from last year's squad. They will be led by junior Justin Pannkuk who led the team with a 76.6 stroke average. Pannkuk finished in the top 10 four times last season. Sophomore Luke Vermeer posted a team-high six top-10 finishes and carded a 76.7 average. The lone senior, Nate Summers, carried an 80.4 average in 2006 and earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors. The Red Raiders welcome several new faces to the team in 2007 which will look to contribute this season.

In 2006... Last year, Luke Vermeer carded an even-par 72 and finished in a tie for first place at the BV Invitational. Justin Pannkuk finished tied for 19th with a 78 as the Red Raider team placed second out of 13 teams.

A Look Ahead... Northwestern will next compete in the Nebraska Wesleyan Invitational on Sept. 13.
