Competing in their second meet in as many days, the Northwestern College men's golf team finished tied for fourth with Doane College at the Mustang Invitational. The Red Raiders carded a 328 in the wet conditions at Whispering Creek Golf Club in Sioux City. Morningside won the meet with a 303, followed by Wayne State (307) and USF (312). Luke Vermeer finished in third place overall with a two-over 74. It was his fourth straight finish in the top three. Senior Nathan Summers shot a season-best 80 to finish tied for 14th place while Hans Vander Plaats shot an 85. Northwestern will next host the Red Raider Invite on Sept. 28 at Landsmeer Golf Club.
