The Northwestern College men's golf team shot a season-best 311 and finished in sixth place at the Briar Cliff Open played on Monday, Sept. 17. Morningside College captured the team title with a 299, followed by Wayne State (303), Briar Cliff (304), Dordt (305) and Hastings (307).

For the third consecutive meet, Luke Vermeer placed second and earned runner-up medalist honors with a 72. Justin Pannkuk carded his best score of the season (73) and finished tied for fourth place. Jamie Jeltema placed 41st overall with his season-best round of 81. Morningside's Andrew Martin won individual medalist honors with a 70.

NWC will next compete at the Morningside Open on Tuesday morning, Sept. 18.
