Malenke has earned three letters while playing for the Unity Christian High School golf team. As a junior, Malenke won the class 2A individual state championship and was named the 2009 player-of-the-year. So far in his career, Malenke earned all-state honors two times and was also named to the all-tournament team at state. He carries a 36 average and carded a personal best of 33 on nine holes and a 69 on 18. An honor roll student, Malenke plans to major in business at Northwestern. He is the son of Gary and Laura.
“Neil will be an instant difference maker for us next year,” commented assistant coach Aaron Aberson. “As a state champion, he will bring the necessary skill set to succeed right away at the collegiate level. We are very excited to have Neil join the Red Raider golf team.”
