Three Red Raiders Named NAIA Scholar Athlete

Three Northwestern College men's golfers were named NAIA Men's Golf Scholar Athletes for the 2007-08 season. Nate Summers, Jamie Jeltema and Justin Pannkuk received the honor along with 91 other student athletes from 52 different schools across the NAIA. Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

SummersSummers, a senior from Aplington, Iowa, earned the honor for the second straight year and is a finance major. Jeltema, Jeltemaa junior biology-health professions major from Orange City, Iowa and Justin Pannkuk, a junior religion major from Webster City, Iowa, received the honor for the first time.
