Three Raiders Named NAIA Scholar Athlete

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its 2009 Daktronics NAIA Men's Golf Scholar Athlete list and three Raiders earned the academic honor. Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify. In total, 94 student-athletes received the honor this past men's golf season.

Seniors Jamie Jeltema (Orange City, Iowa) and Justin Pannkuk (Webster City, Iowa) earn the honor for the second straight year while junior Hans Vander Plaats (Hinton, Iowa) is a first-time recipient. Jeltema  is a biology/health professions major, Pannkuk is a religion major and Vander Plaats is a business/finance and economics major.JeltemaPannkuk
