Northwestern (5-2-1) looks to get back into the winning column tonight against Presentation (2-7) in a non-conference match at the NWC Soccer Complex. Northwestern dropped their last match to Midland. Presentation has won their last two contests after dropping the first seven of the season.
The Saints have been out-scored 18-8 this season and have been out-shot 174-118 and 110-62 in shots on goal. Andrew Bravo leads the team with two goals scored. He and Joshua Docksey (one goal, two assists) are tied for the team lead with four points. Seven Saints have scored a goal this season. David Barragan is tied with Docksey for the team lead with two assists.
Marcos Rodriquez has made six starts in goal for Presentation. He has allowed ten goals and has made 54 saves. Wyatt Caldera has started once and allowed two goals while making five saves in that start. Migel Bartolo has made two starts and allowed six goals and made 30 saves.
The Red Raiders have out-scored their opponents 21-14 this season and have made 130 shots compared to 92 by opponents. The Raiders have made 71 shots on goal and have allowed 42. Ryan Johnson has scored seven goals and leads the offense with 14 points. Kade Heikens and Koray Karakas have both scored three times while Landon Sibole and Gabriel Goncalves have scored twice. Nate Huyser, Pedro Fonseca, Karakas, Sibole, Goncalves, and Tukker Bogaard are all tied for the team lead with two assists each.
Aaron Bosch currently has a goals against average of 1.680. He has made 28 saves this year and has allowed 14 goals in eight starts. He also has collected three shut-outs in 2014.
Northwestern will return to GPAC play on Saturday when they travel to Crete, Neb. to take on Doane.
