Northwestern (10-6-1, 6-2-1) wraps up the 2013 regular season today against Morningside (7-8, 4-4). The Red Raiders have won five of their last six and sit in third place in the GPAC. Morningside has won their last three matches.
Gabriel Goncalves leads the Northwestern offense with 22 points and he is fourth in the GPAC in points scored. He leads the GPAC in assists this season, he has made eight assists and has seven goals. Koray Karakas leads the team with eight goals and is second with 19 points. Ryan Johnson has scored seven goals and has one assist. Harri Edwards is tied for fifth in the GPAC with five assists this season. The offense has made 334 shots this year and has allowed 207. They have out-scored their opponents 41-29.
Aaron Bosch has made 60 saves and has a goals against average of 1.66.
Morningside is led by Saxx Adams, he has scored seven goals and has one assist for 15 points. Logan Schaefers has made five goals and has two assists. The Mustangs have made 196 shots and have allowed 197. They have been out-scored 28-21 this year.
Goalkeeper Zach Stephenson has made 26 saves and has allowed 18 goals while Edurado Pinheiro has made 36 saves and has allowed four goals. The Mustang keeper position has a goals against average of 1.40 this season.
Northwestern has a bye on Saturday. The first round of the GPAC tournament is Nov. 5, the top four teams in the GPAC will host opening round matches.
