Raiders Entertain Tigers on Homecoming

The Northwestern men's soccer team takes on Doane today in a homecoming match that starts at 7:00pm in Orange City. Northwestern (5-4-1, 1-0-1) is looking to expand on their five game undefeated streak while Doane (2-4, 1-0) has won their last two matches after starting 0-4.

Northwestern defeated Briar Cliff on Wednesday 6-2 behind three goals by Koray Karakas. Doane also defeated Briar Cliff in their last match by the score of 5-1.

Karakas leads Northwestern with six goals scored this year. Gabriel Goncalves and Ryan Johnson each have four goals while Travis Sytsma and Nate Huyser both have two goals. Goncalves leads NWC with five assists. Harri Edwards is second best with four assists. Northwestern has scored 24 goals and has collected 18 assists this season.

Goalkeeper Aaron Bosch has made 38 saves and has allowed 19 goals. He has a goals against average of 1.83 this season.

Doane has scored 16 goals in six matches. Jake Miller, Jake Novak, and Isaac Beber each have three goals and are tied for the team lead. Chris Watson has five assists to pace the Tigers. Casey Clark has made 26 saves and has allowed 11 goals. His goals against average is currently 1.83.

Northwestern will travel to Nebraska Wesleyan next Saturday in their next action on the field.
