Men's Golf Team To Make Spring Debut

The Event...The Northwestern College men's golf team opens its spring season at the Briar Cliff/Morningside Spring Invite. The two-day, 36-hole event begins on Monday, March 31 at Whispering Creek Golf Club and will conclude the next day (Tuesday, April 1) at Green Valley Golf Club. Monday's round will begin at noon.

Teams Competing...Morningside, Briar Cliff, Dordt and Northwestern are all scheduled to compete at the BCU/MOR Invite. 

About Northwestern...The Red Raiders won three of the six events played last fall, taking first at the Siouxland Invite and Morningside Fall Invite while currently sitting in first after two round of the GPAC Championship. They have a team average of 301.1.

Ryan Kiewiet leads the team with a 73.3 scoring average, taking home medalist honors in two events and finishing in the top 10 in four meets. Neil Malenke is second on the team with a 74.2 average, placing in the top five in five meets. Kyle Stanek has a scoring average of 77.2, followed by Jordan Oltman (78.6). 

Up Next...Northwestern will host its annual spring invite on Tuesday, April 8 with a noon shotgun start.
