Ross Douma is in his sixth season as the Defenders' head coach and has guided his teams to three straight NAIA D-II National Tournaments. Last year, Douma's squad won the GPAC regular season title with a 17-3 record and finished with a 28-6 overall mark. They were ranked seventh in the final NAIA coaches' poll. Two starters and seven players return for coach Douma's squad.

Cardinal Stritch...A member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, the Wolves come into the weekend with an 0-2 mark, losing to Viterbo and Waldorf. They were ranked second in the NAIA D-II preseason coaches' poll, trailing only defending champion Indiana Wesleyan.

Drew Diener is in his sixth season as the head coach at CSU and has led the Wolves to five CCAC titles during his tenure. He was named the 2013 NAIA/UPS coach of the year after leading Cardinal Stritch to the national championship and a 35-3 overall record. He returns two starters and nine players off a 2013-14 team that won the CCAC regular season title and earned the top seed at the national tournament. They were upset in the second round by Southeastern (Fla.) and ended the year with a 30-5 mark.

The Wolves average 67.5 points per game, led by Chad Mazur and Garrett Borgrud, who are both scoring 18 points per game.
