Tanner Hilbrands (Remsen, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College next year.
Hilbrands is a multi-sport standout who lettered four years for the Remsen-Union High School basketball team. The 6’4” guard averages a double-double, scoring 21 points and pulling down 10 rebounds per game this season. Hilbrands averages three assists and 1.2 steals per game and has scored over 1,000 points during his career. He earned first team all-conference honors as a junior while also being named all-conference in baseball and all-district in football. A member of the National Honor Society and honor roll, Hilbrands plans to major in business at Northwestern. He is the son of Dean and Becky.
“We are thrilled to have Tanner join us here at Northwestern,” commented head coach Kris Korver. “He has been coming to our basketball camps since fifth grade and is a versatile player who makes his teammates better. Tanner works hard on the defensive end, is an excellent passer and rebounder and is an outstanding teammate.”
