Red Raiders Hold Fourth Spot in Coaches' Poll

Northwestern College held down the No.4 spot in the Jan. 10 edition of the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball coaches' poll released earlier today by the national office.

One of just two teams that held the same spot from the last poll (Dec. 13), Northwestern maintained the No. 4 spot, its highest ranking since the 2007-08 preseason ranking. Northwestern is 18-2 overall and joins three other conference teams in the top 25; Dakota Wesleyan (13), Midland (19) and Briar Cliff (24). Morningside, a fifth GPAC team, received votes.

Cornerstone (Mich.) is the top-ranked team for the second consecutive poll, receiving all 12 first place votes. Union (Ky.) is second, followed by Saint Francis (Ind.), Northwestern and Eastern Oregon.
