The Red Raiders won their third straight GPAC conference game with a 71-63 win over Mount Marty in Yankton, S.D. Northwestern is now 9-2 overall, 3-1 in the GPAC.

Trailing by 10 (24-14) with over nine minutes left in the first half, the Red Raiders went on an 18-8 over a six minute span to tie the game at 32. Northwestern then scored the final 10 points of the first half and the first four points of the second half to take their biggest lead, 46-32, with 17 minutes left. Mount Marty battled back and cut the lead down to two, 51-49, with 11 minutes to go. Northwestern, however, went on a 14-6 run to seal the victory, their third win of the week.

Coach Korver's squad shot 48% from the floor and out-rebounded the Lancers, 33-27. Curt Schilling led three NWC players in double figures with 20 points. Chad Schuiteman scored 14 and grabbed 12 rebounds while Andrew Stimson added 11, including 3/4 from beyond the arc. Schuiteman and Kale Wiertzema dished out four assists.

Northwestern will next play Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Saturday, Dec. 15.
