Chad Schuiteman (Sioux Center, Iowa) has been invited to and will take part in the Collegiate Basketball Invitational held April 24-26 in Wadsworth, Ohio. This is the most prestigious event for college basketball seniors in the country from the NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA levels. Schuiteman is one of just 65 players invited to participate in this year's event from approximately 1,000 colleges and universities throughout the country. Schuiteman, a 6-6 senior forward, helped lead the Red Raiders to a 30-5 record and their 10th straight national tournament appearance. Northwestern, seeded fifth in the 32-team field, won their first three games at the tournament before losing in the Final Four to Bellevue (Neb.). In his career, Schuiteman ranks fourth all-time in scoring (2,208), third in rebounding (1,389) and second in assists (581) at Northwestern. He earned NAIA All-American honors three straight years and was the GPAC Player-of-the-Year in 2006. The Red Raiders are coached by Kris Korver.%20Chad.jpg)
Schuiteman will play for Premier Pontiac, one of eight teams that comprise the Invitational. Each team will play a total of three games, culminating with the championship game on Friday night, April 25. The Invitational will conclude with an all-star game made up of 20 players, Saturday evening (April 26) that will air live on ESPNU.
