The 2008 NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship Tournament bracket has been released by the NAIA and the Red Raiders are seeded fifth in the 32-team field. Northwestern, making their 10th consecutive national tournament appearance and 13th overall, will open play on Thursday, March 13 at noon against Minot State (N.D.), the DAC tournament champion. The Red Raiders won the GPAC postseason championship and are 27-4 overall. Minot State is 19-11 overall. The winner will then play on Friday, March 14 against either #12 William Penn or unseeded Oklahoma Wesleyan at 1:45pm.
The Red Raiders are one of three GPAC teams in the 32-team field. Morningside is seeded third with a 28-3 record and Dakota Wesleyan is unseeded with a 24-8 record.
