Apr 11	Schuiteman to Play in Collegiate Basketball Invitational Chad Schuiteman (Sioux Center, Iowa) has been invited to and will take part in the Collegiate Basketball Invitational held April 24-26 in Wadsworth, Ohio. This is the most prestigious event for college basketball seniors in the country from the NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA levels. Schuiteman is one of just 64 players invited to participate in this year's event from approximately 1,000 colleges and universities throughout the country.
Apr 8	Red Raiders Sign Three to Join Men's Basketball Program Alex Huisken (Chandler, Minn.), Ryan Stock (Sheffield, Iowa) and Tim Vermeer (Sioux Center, Iowa) have signed letters of intent to play basketball at Northwestern College next year.
Apr 1	Three NWC Men's Basketball Players Earn Scholar Athlete Honors Three members of the 2007-08 Northwestern men's basketball team earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors this past season. Senior Mark DeYounge and juniors T.J. Philips and Robben Schat received the honor as announced by the NAIA.

Mar 19	Northwestern Wins Emil Liston Team Sportsmanship Award The Northwestern Men's basketball team was awarded the NAIA Emil Liston Team Sportmanship Award at the award ceremony following the national championship game on Tuesday night in Branson, Mo.
Mar 19	Schilling and Schuiteman Named All-Americans Seniors Curt Schilling and Chad Schuiteman were named to the NAIA DII Men's Basketball All-American teams. Schuiteman, a three time First Team All-American, averaged 15.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. Schilling, a two time All-American, led Northwestern with a 19.1 ppg average.
Mar 18	Northwestern Men's Team Falls to Bellevue in the Final Four The Red Raiders fall to Bellevue (Neb.) in the semifinals, 70-67, at the 2008 NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship in Point Lookout, Mo. They end their season with a 30-5 overall record.
Mar 17	Northwestern to Take On Bellevue in Final Four The Northwestern College Red Raiders take on top-seed Bellevue (Neb.) in the NAIA D-II Men's Basketball Final Four this evening at 6:00 pm. The fifth-seeded Red Raiders have won 13 straight games and are 30-4 overall heading into tonight semifinal match-up. The Bruins are 32-3 and have won 11 straight games. Mar 16	Northwestern Men Advance to Final Four With 96-70 Rout Over Northwood The Red Raiders cruise to a 96-70 win over 13th seed Northwood (Fla.) in the Elite Eight this afternoon and advance to the Final Four for the sixth time, the most trips by any team in the NAIA. Northwestern will play top seed Bellevue on Monday, March 17 at 6:00 pm.
Mar 15	Red Raiders to Play Northwood in Elite Eight Northwestern takes on 13th-seed Northwood (Fla.) in the Elite Eight round of the 2008 NAIA D-II Men's Basketball National Championship. The Red Raiders, seeded fifth, have a 29-4 overall record and are in the quarterfinals for the seventh time. This is their second straight Elite Eight Appearance and third in four years. The Seahawks of Northwood are 27-7 overall in this just their second year fielding a varsity program. Tipoff for the game is at 3:00 pm.

Mar 14	Red Raiders Win Overtime Thriller Over Oklahoma Wesleyan, 86-85 Northwestern edged Oklahoma Wesleyan in overtime, 86-85, to advance to the Elite Eight for the seventh time. The Red Raiders earned their 27th win at the national tournament and move on with a 29-4 record.

The Red Raiders advance to the second round for the 11th time in their history and earn their tournament best 26th win.

Northwestern, making their 10th consecutive national tournament appearance and 13th overall, will open play on Thursday, March 13 at noon against Minot State (N.D.), the DAC tournament champion.
Mar 5	Red Raiders Defeat Briar Cliff; Earn GPAC Championship The Northwestern College men's basketball team defeated Briar Cliff 77-69 to earn the GPAC Postseason Tournament Championship. The Red Raiders, ranked seventh in the NAIA, improve to 27-4 overall and earn the second automatic GPAC berth to the national tournament. Briar Cliff ends their season with a 22-12 overall mark.

Mar 4	Northwestern Hosts Briar Cliff For GPAC Championship Northwestern, the second seed, will battle fifth seed Briar Cliff in the championship of the GPAC Postseason Tournament. Northwestern, ranked seventh in the NAIA poll, is 26-4 overall while Briar Cliff received votes in the final poll and 22-11 overall.
