John Trnka (Montgomery, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Northwestern College next year. Trnka

Trnka is a 6’9” center who played and lettered three seasons for Montgomery-Lonsdale High School. Trnka averaged a double-double, 18 points and 11 rebounds, per game and earned all-conference honors his senior year. He also averaged over three blocks and two assists per game. An outstanding student, Trnka plans to major in pre-pharmacy at Northwestern. He is the son of Mike and Tanya.

“John is a post player with soft hands and good footwork,” commented Head Coach Kris Korver. “He is a quality young man and an excellent student. John has great work ethic and has shown a desire to continue to improve his game. We look forward to watching him during his Red Raider career.”
