Cary Overholt (Highland, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College. He will also play baseball for the Red Raiders.

Overholt is a 6’1”, 225-pound linebacker/quarterback who played for Riverside City College. He earned Player-of-the-Week honors three times last season for Riverside. A graduate of Arrowhead Christian Academy, Overholt was the first student-athlete to earn a varsity letter in three sports four consecutive years. He earned all-CIF honors as he played quarterback, linebacker and safety during his playing career. The son of Gary and Fran, Overholt plans to major in physical education at Northwestern.

“Cary comes to Northwestern as a transfer from Riverside City College where he played linebacker,” commented Head Coach Orv Otten. “In high school and his first year at the junior college level, he played quarterback. Cary has a very strong arm and a terrific mind for the game of football. He will join our quarterback corps this fall.”
