Northwestern College, along with head football coach Matt McCarty, have released its schedule for the 2017 season.
The Red Raiders' 10-game schedule includes five home dates, four in conference play and one, Dickinson State, for its home opener on Sept. 9. They will also host Concordia, Morningside for its homecoming game on Sept. 30, Dakota Wesleyan for a night match-up at DeValois Stadium and Dordt.
Five road games also appear on the 2017 schedule, beginning with their season opener against Ottawa (Kan.) on Sept. 2 for the GPAC/KCAC Football Challenge. Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm in this is the third straight season of the GPAC/KCAC match-ups. Northwestern will also play road games against Briar Cliff, Midland, Doane and will end the regular season at Hastings on Nov. 11, the week after its bye week on Nov. 4.

This will be just the second time the Red Raiders have played both Ottawa and Dickinson State; Northwestern last played Ottawa in the first round of the playoffs in 2003, defeating the Braves 36-33 on an icy, cold day at DeValois Stadium.
