Jordan Simon (Brandon, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football and baseball careers at Northwestern College next year.
A 6’2”, 200-pound running back, Simon earned three letters for the Brandon Valley football team. Simon rushed for 808 yards and 21 touchdowns and caught 19 passes for 220 yards during his playing career at Brandon Valley. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry and totaled over 1,100 all-purpose yards.
“Jordan has nice size and speed for a running back,” commented head coach Kyle Achterhoff. “He catches the ball well out of the backfield and is a versatile back. We are excited that he will be part of the Red Raider football family.”
Simon lettered three years and played third base/pitcher for the Brandon Valley baseball team. He earned honorable mention all-region honors after hitting .420 with five extra-base hits last year. Simon is the son of Dawn and Dennis.
“Jordan is an impact recruit for us,” commented head coach Brian Wede. “He has all of the tools needed to be a very successful player in our conference. I anticipate he will compete right away for playing time as a freshman.”
