Nikolaus McCarty (West Fork, Ark.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

McCarty is a 6’0”, 210-pound linebacker/tight end who played for Prairie Grove High School. He totaled 172 tackles the last two years, including 102 his senior year. McCarty also recovered five fumbles and had two interceptions which earned him all-conference and all-district honors as both a junior and senior. McCarty earned all-region and Northwest Arkansas Times All-State honors his senior year. He plans to major in physical education at Northwestern.

“We are excited that Nik has made the decision to join the Red Raider football team,” commented Head Coach Orv Otten. “He is athletic, strong and has the gifts as a very physical linebacker. Nik should be a good fit for us at Northwestern.”
