The Northwestern College football team is ranked seventh in the first ever 2007 NAIA Spring Football poll. The Red Raiders finished with an 11-2 mark in 2006 and earned their first playoff berth since 2004. After winning their opening round game against Black Hills State, they lost to Missouri Valley in the quarterfinal round of the NAIA Football Championship Series.
Northwestern joins three other GPAC schools in the top 10, including defending champion USF and #10 Morningside.
