David Butler (Stillwater, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Butler is a 5’8”, 185-pound safety and cornerback from Stillwater Area High School. The son of Bill and Sue, the two-year letter winner helped lead his team to an 8-4 record and a berth in the state playoffs his senior year. He recorded 111 tackles, including 61 solo, and two interceptions. Butler also recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble and blocked a kick. He earned all-conference honors last year and earned “Mr. Football” honors as well. A member of the National Honor Society, Butler plans to major in education at Northwestern.

“David is a young man who fits into our program and Northwestern College very well,” commented Otten. “He is an aggressive player with a great attitude. David’s experience playing strong safety will be very beneficial for our secondary.”
