Sean Guthmiller (Orange City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field and cross country careers at Northwestern College next year.Guthmiller.jpg)
Guthmiller lettered four years in both track and cross country at MOC-Floyd Valley High School. Guthmiller earned all-conference honors three straight seasons as he helped lead the Dutch to the conference championship in 2007 and 2008. He is a two-time state qualifier and boasts a personal best of 16:41 in the 5K. In track, Guthmiller has personal bests of 4:48 in the mile and 10:24 in the 3200. An outstanding student who is a member of the national honor society, Guthmiller plans to major in biology at Northwestern. He is the son of Jeff and Renee.
"I am very excited that Sean has decided to continue his running at Northwestern," commented Head Coach Nate Wolf. "He has developed into an outstanding runner and has experienced success at the high school level. Sean will make an immediate impact on our cross country team and distance crew for our track and field squad."
