Jesse Baldwin (Spirit Lake, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field and cross country careers at Northwestern College next
year.
Baldwin is a 5’7” distance runner who lettered eight seasons running for the Spirit Lake cross country and track and field teams. He earned all-conference honors three years and is four-time state qualifier. Baldwin was also named all-district as he helped lead his team to the cross country state championship in 2008. He boasts personal bests of: 4:42 in the mile, 10:29 in the 2 mile, 2:08 in the 800m and 16:30 in the 5K. An honor roll student, Baldwin plans to major in art education at Northwestern. He is the son of Tim and Mary Beth.
“I’m very excited Jesse will continue his running career at Northwestern,” comments Head Coach Nate Wolf. “Jesse is a talented athlete who has experienced success both as an individual and as a team. He will bring passion and energy to our distance squad and I look forward to Jesse’s impact on our cross country and track teams.”
