Johnson, Miles Earn GPAC Cross Country Honors

Freshmen Olivia Johnson and Charity Miles were named GPAC Women's Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week. Johnson, from Milford, Iowa, and Miles, from Thedford, Neb., finished first and second in last week's regional championship at Sioux Falls, S.D. Johnson crossed the line in 17:51, followed by Miles with a time of 17:53. Both runners helped lead the Red Raiders to a second place finish as the team qualified for their first trip to the national meet since 1992. Northwestern is ranked 15th in the final NAIA poll and will run at the national meet on Nov. 17 in Kenosha, Wis.
