The Red Raiders, ranked 15th in the final poll released earlier this week, received one of 15 at-large bids in the 29-team field. They join two other region III schools, Concordia (Neb.) and Black Hills State (S.D.).

Red Raider Cross Country Runners/Coach Earn Postseason Honors Olivia Johnson, a freshman from Milford, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year and headlines the 2007 women's cross country all-conference team. Johnson was the individual medalist at the GPAC Championships last Saturday in Crete, Neb., and won two other meets this season.
Head Coach Dale Thompson earned GPAC Women's Cross Country Coach-of-the-Year honors after leading his team to a third place finish at the GPAC Championships and the program's first ever national ranking.

NWC Women's CC Team Wins BC Invite/Johnson Captures Individual Title The Northwestern women's cross country team captured the team and individual championship this weekend at the Briar Cliff Invite. The Red Raiders finished with 40 points, 10 points better than second place Wayne State (50). Olivia Johnson, freshman from Milford, Iowa, won the individual title as she crossed the finish line in 18:24. It was her second overall championship this season as she also won the Dordt Invite.

Cross Country Teams Finish Strong at SDSU Classic The Red Raider cross country teams competed at the SDSU Classic Saturday morning at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, S.D. The women's team finished in sixth place out of 12 teams with 136 points and were the top finisher among the NAIA teams.
