Mike Zoellner pitched a complete game two hit shut-out in game two on Saturday versus the University of Sioux Falls at Riverside Park in Yankton, S.D.  Only one runner reached second base for Sioux Falls; the first batter of the game, on a single and a fielder's choice.  Zoellner allowed a sixth inning single and the Raiders were able to plate a run in each the fourth and seventh innings.  Joe Heitritter led off the fourth with a bases on balls and Grant Wall was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second.  Codie Zeutenhorst sacrificed the runners to 2nd and 3rd and the Cougars intentionally walked Kent Drickey to load the bases for Curt Bomgaars.  Bomgaars hit a sac fly to left scoring Heitritter and giving the Raiders a 1-0 lead.  That was all Zoellner needed, as he walked one runner and struck out six.  Northwestern scored an insurance run in the seventh when Bomgaars and Justin Boersma led off the inning with consecutive walks.  Brad Payne hit into a fielder's choice which left the Raiders with 1st and 3rd and two outs.  With Payne and Bomgaars on base Northwestern elected to try a double steal and Bomgaars was able to cross the plate as the Cougars attempted to put out Payne.  Zoellner struck out the final two batters of the seventh inning and Northwestern moved to 9-1 in the GPAC and 16-8 overall.
