Levi Miller (Humboldt, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College beginning in the fall of 2008.

Miller, the son of Tim and Deb, is a 5’11” infielder for Humboldt H.S.  In his career, Miller is 9-8 with a 3.06 era and 120 strikeouts in 100.67 innings pitched.  Miller, the brother of former Red Raider and current career home-run leader Ethan Miller, has hit .318 in his high school career in just under 200 at bats.  He was named 3A first team All-Central District in 2007, second team All-Conference in 2007, and was an honorable mention All-Conference selection in 2006.  Miller will earn his fifth letter for coach Jason Thurm this summer.

Miller is a member of the National Honor Society, participates in the NCYL (National Council on Youth Leadership), and is the senior class President at Humboldt.  He plans to major in business at Northwestern.

“I am excited Levi has chosen to continue his career at Northwestern.  His family has a great history here and I am confident Levi will build on that," said head coach Brian Wede.  "Levi is a player who has had a lot of success in a good baseball conference and he also has a good understanding of what Northwestern is all about.  I predict good things from Levi during his four years in Orange City."
