Brad Payne earned First Team All-GPAC honors for his play at shortstop this spring while Austin Malone and Drew Nonnemacher earned Second Team All-GPAC honors. Jake Jansen, Curt Bomgaars, and Trevor Kuiper earned honorable mention honors for their efforts this spring as well.
Payne finished the season with a team high .374 batting average and scored 49 runs. Payne also had eight triples, drove in 28 runs, and stole 14 bases.
Malone finished with a career best .350 batting average, 46 RBI, and eight home runs. He also collected 12 doubles, which was a team high, while scoring 32 runs. Nonnemacher finished the season with a 4-2 record and a 3.12 ERA in 11 starts. He struck out 31 hitters and allowed a .249 batting average. Nonnemacher allowed less than a hit per inning, as he allowed 57 hits in 60.2 innings.
Jansen finished the season with a .314 batting average, 24 RBI, 17 runs, ten doubles and four home runs. Bomgaars finished with a .339 batting average and was tied for second on the team with 28 RBI. Bomgaars also had five home runs and scored 25 runs. Bomgaars and Jansen led the team with eight hit-by-pitches. Kuiper's senior season ended with a record of 5-6 with a 4.92 ERA in 11 starts. Kuiper pitched 64 innings and struck out 49 batters. Opponents hit .278 off of Kuiper.
Northwestern finished the season 19-23 and went 8-16 in the GPAC. The Raiders lost four GPAC games in extra innings this season and another six GPAC games by one-run. This was the first time the Raiders have missed the post-season since the 2005 season.
