Senior right-hander Mihai Burlea has been named the GPAC Pitcher of the Week for his efforts last week, which included a two-hit shut-out of Dakota Wesleyan on Tuesday, April 8th. This is the second week Burlea has been named the pitcher of the week and the third time a Red Raider pitcher has earned the honor.
Burlea, from Botosani, Romania, is 6-2 this season and has 47 strikeouts in 44+ innings. He is 4-0 in the GPAC this season and 10-0 in GPAC games over the course of his career. Burlea was named GPAC Pitcher of the Week on April 1st and fellow senior right-hander Joe Grady was named GPAC Pitcher of the Week on March 25th.
Burlea has also earned NAIA Region III Pitcher of the Week honors for last week's pitching performance.
