Matt Den Hartog

A 1999 graduate of Briar Cliff University, Den Hartog earned four letters for the Charger baseball team and was a three-year starter.  He serves as Boyden Hull/Rock Valley's head baseball coach and has been an assistant at Northwestern in 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006. Den Hartog earned the Class 2A Northwest Iowa District Coach-of-the-Year honor from the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association after leading his team to the state tournament in 2006. He has a career record at Boyden Hull/Rock Valley of 92-69.

A third grade teacher at Starkweather Elementary (Rock Valley), Den Hartog and his wife, Kellie, have three children: Averey, Cooper, and Colby. He will serve as NWC's hitting coach.
