NORTHWESTERN 5     MORNINGSIDE 3

Northwestern completed the sweep behind a very strong pitching performance by Joe Grady and five early runs.  Northwestern scored five runs in the first two innings.  In the first inning the Red Raiders managed three hits, all rbi hits, including a two-out two-rbi double by Curt Bomgaars, and took advantage of two Mustang walks, jumping out to a 4-0 lead.  The Raiders added another run in the second inning on two hits, a single by Austin Malone and a rbi double by Grant Wall.  Northwestern's five runs were enough for Joe Grady, who made one mistake all day, a one-out three-run homerun to Nick Paulsen in the sixth inning.  Grady allowed three hits and walked three batters in seven innings, while moving to 3-1 this season.  Six Raiders had hits, Malone scored two runs, and Bomgaars drove in two runs.  Northwestern moves to 14-8 overall and 7-1 in the GPAC, they will travel to Yankton, S.D. to face the University of Sioux Falls in a GPAC doubleheader.
