Troy Caswell (LeMars, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College beginning in the fall of 2008.
Caswell, the son of Brian and Rhonda, is a 5-7 infielder for LeMars Community H.S. Coach Trent Eckstaine's Bulldogs went 13-15 last season and Caswell saw most of his time at second base. Caswell has earned three varsity letters during his career at LeMars.
Caswell plans to major in physical education at Northwestern.
Commented coach Wede, "Troy has a very high baseball IQ and that should translate into a smooth transition for him from high school to college. He is the type of player that can win a gold glove while playing on the infield. I am excited to get him into our program to watch him develop."
