Senior right hander Joe Grady was named the GPAC Pitcher of the Week for his efforts in leading Northwestern to a 4-1 week record. Grady picked up a save in the first game of the week for Northwestern and collected a win in the Raiders 7-5 nine inning win at Concordia. Grady pitched 10 innings for the week, allowing two earned runs and striking out 12.
On Thursday versus Morningside, Grady pitched a scoreless ninth to register his third save of the season. He allowed one hit and struck out two batters.
On Saturday in Seward, Neb., Grady pitched a complete game (nine innings) and set a career high in strike outs with ten en route to his second win of the season. Grady allowed five runs, two earned runs, walked two, and gave up eight hits in his third start of the season.
