Northwestern earned two first place votes and totaled 84 points in the GPAC coaches preseason baseball poll, released on Monday afternoon.
The Northwestern baseball team will be holding its annual hitting camp Sat. Jan. 31. The camp will have two sessions, grades 3-7 in the morning session (9:00am-12:00pm) and grades 8-12 (1:30pm-4:30pm) in the afternoon.
Northwestern has signed their first four recruits for the 2016 season. The Red Raiders got commitments from pitcher Jordan Baker, first baseman Bryce Bisenius, pitcher Josh Lucken, and shortstop Austin Zylstra.
Cody Groskreutz enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Northwestern baseball program. Groskreutz's main duties will be with the offense, he will assist with team defense, especially on the infield.
Northwestern earned 15 points in the NAIA Baseball preseason poll released on Tuesday afternoon. The Red Raiders finished 42-13 a year ago going 16-4 in the GPAC.
